Szilvia Ponyiczki, a Grantham-based artist, explores the collective unconscious, weaving together ancient symbols and creation stories into her work. She pursued a Master’s in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 2020. Szilvia’s paintings merge personal dreamscapes with the iconography of ancient civilizations, developing a distinctive visual language. Her hybrid forms and characters reflect cycles of life, transformation, and spiritual transcendence, inviting viewers on a timeless journey of self-discovery. By bridging past and present, Szilvia offers a contemplative space for exploring humanity’s shared heritage and the mysteries of the psyche. Szilvia has exhibited her work in solo and group shows across the UK, Hungary, and internationally. Her achievements include the East Midlands’ Claire Peasnall Painting Award (2024), as well as funding from programs such as DYCP (UK) and NKA (HU). Through her practice, she seeks to uncover the connections between past, present, and future, offering a unique perspective on the enduring wisdom of humanity’s collective unconscious.
