"Self-identity, consistent exploration and the knowledge of the world of light characterise the creative work of Ildikó Knotik. She is not satisfied with the visual imprint of the environment, she seeks and wants to show the underlying secret to all of us. The characters in her pictures, and the lights of the colours, evoke rhythm and melody. The same form at different times, in different thought contexts, has different meanings and effects. Thanks to aesthetic associations, the geometrical forms represent both modernity and purity, fundamental, calming constancy for us. By simplifying the interpretation it allows the viewer to accept the effects of other dimensions. In this way, the images can also convey emotions and moods.
