The two works made in Csongrád, International Artist Colony, are connected through a typographic element: my mother’s handwriting, featuring a quote from a 1992 letter: "Anyway, I am fine. Everything is beautiful, and everything is great!" Beneath its surface cheerfulness, the quote evokes emotional layers that were hidden to me as a child, recontextualized through memory.
"Everything is beautiful, and everything is great!" appears as a linocut (60×60 cm block, printed on 70×70 cm paper) showing a scene in an old family photo in a garden, where my mother’s figure pushes me on a swing. The motion conveys both care and uncertainty, recalling the emotional resonance of childhood space.
Together, the two works create a temporal and emotional dialogue, where the typographic element forms a bridge between past and present, and the gestures in the images lend new meaning to the words of the letter.
