Stairs 1. is a direct continuation of the concept started in Stairs 0., now recreated on a larger canvas. In my broader practice, this composition also exists as a three-dimensional artwork where physical wooden blocks are mounted directly onto the surface.
In this piece, the structure begins to move: five steps of varying lengths are arranged in a regular staircase formation, mounted as if fixed to a wall from a direct frontal view. After the fifth step, the sequence ends, leaving only a void. The compositions are enveloped in muted shades of blue and green, where the clean geometric lines and subtle shading add depth. Rather than a flat path, Stairs 1. symbolizes the human journey—the process of moving forward, overcoming obstacles, and steadily stepping toward the unknown.
