For me, painting is thinking on the border between figurativeness and non-figurativeness. Images are not closed meanings, but unstable fields in which the form appears just enough to be identified, but never becomes final.
The starting point of painting is color as a primary metaphysical quality. Colors do not describe the world, but directly create a state of perception that goes beyond immanent visuals. The shape emerges from this color relationship and then partially dissolves back into it, so the image is never fixed into a final object.
I am particularly concerned with the limit state where the viewer still strives for a figurative reading, but the image is already moving towards abstraction. This uncertainty is not a side effect, but the essential space of the work: a perceptual tension that prompts thought and keeps the eye in constant interpretive movement.
In my pictures, the immanent color conditions always point towards another dimension that is not directly visible. This „overstatement” is not narrative, but sensual and structural in nature: color itself becomes a gateway between the visible and the invisible.
For me, painting is thus not a representation, but the creation of borderline situations: visual spaces where the viewer simultaneously experiences the recognizability of the form and its dissolution, and where vision itself becomes a metaphysical experience.
