The interest in and openness to various techniques that develop during university years can easily connect students. Thanks to the university, students have the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of methods, either within the academic environment or in the form of artist residencies. For Krisztián Bence and Ollé Dániel, the possibilities offered by the printmaking studio may have been the greatest source of inspiration. Both continued their artistic studies while staying on the path of figuration, creating works over the years using various mediums and techniques. A shared point of connection proved to be figurative relief printing techniques. Exhibition opening: December 5, 5:00 PM. Admission is free. Alongside their main pursuits (be it sculpture or painting), they explored different methods, with themes, technical challenges, and compositional questions intertwining. From Bence’s sculpture to linocuts, and from Dániel’s painting to woodcuts, their work outlines distinct trajectories. If sculpture and painting represent the two endpoints, then printmaking forms the common bridge between their studies. With the exhibited works, they aimed to create a concept that reflects the diversity of artistic techniques and the multifaceted journey an art university student can take while exploring and discovering the methods best suited to them.
